Dr. James L. Moore, Jr., M.D.

A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Dr. Moore earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He then completed fellowships at the esteemed M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer Research Center at Georgetown University Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as a member of the American Medical Association, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation and the Winfred L. Wiser Society. Dr. Moore is a member of both the Radiation Safety Committee and the Cancer Committee at Baptist Health Systems. Dr. Moore is also the founder of Walking Forward, a support group designed to provide gynecologic cancer patients with much-needed information and peer support.

Dr. Mildred Ridgway, M.D.

Dr. Ridgway has earned a reputation as one of the area’s foremost experts in laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans, and completed both her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. She completed her three-year fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Dr. Ridgway is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has published multiple clinical studies revealing the benefits of laparoscopic and robotic surgery for gynecologic care. As a leader in her field, she has participated in published instructional surgical videos for robotic surgery and travels nationwide to hospitals such as M. D. Anderson and Vanderbilt University training and proctoring surgeons in robotics. She is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, the American College of Surgeons, Physicians for Women’s Health, and the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists.
